30 Ballparks in 30 Days: Rogers Centre

The Rogers Centre is a very bland park. The park serves as host of the Blue Jays, and the Canadian Football League’s grey cup. The park is very big and also has a hotel in it. So if you want to watch live baseball from your bed, this is the place for you.

The park contains a very simple concession selection. So if you like simple concessions, this is also your park. Fans can attend all 81 home games without worrying about a rain out. The Centre has a retractable roof and it doesn’t take long to close.

The Centre also hosts a variety of off season events and concerts for native Canadians. Bands like Rush and Pearl Jam tend to be frequents. So I haven’t been as interesting with this one, because in my opinion this is the worst ballpark in Major League Baseball. The Blue Jays fan base also has trouble filling the park. Tomorrow I will take us back to New York City and into the National League when we visit Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
